We are a movement for a regenerative economy that serves life – based on diversity, solidarity and transparency.
What will you find here?
This page gives you an overview of the TEIKEI movement: a community that works regeneratively, strengthens regional relationships and builds a transparent, solidarity-based and diverse economic culture together.
The ten TEIKEI principles
Our shared frame of reference. First written down in the original TEIKEI model in Japan, re-interpreted today by the European movement.
We grow trust, not just food. Producers and eaters support each other – heart to heart.
2Planned harvestWe plan our bounty together. Season by season, farm by farm, dream by dream.
3AcceptanceWe honour the whole harvest – wonky carrots and all. Nothing gets left behind.
4Fair pricingWe set prices like friends would – fair, transparent, honest.
5Real connectionsWe break bread together. Face to face, story to story.
6Self-distributionNo middlemen. Just us, moving what we love.
7Shared leadershipWe build decisions on everyone’s voice.
8Lifelong learningWe stay curious, share skills and grow knowledge like we grow food.
9Right-sized groupsSmall and mighty: communities that fit in a circle – not a stadium.
10Keep evolvingWe stumble, we learn, we rise – and keep moving forward together.
Participants in the movement
TEIKEI is not a company but a growing movement of people, projects and organisations across Europe. We share the conviction that the food system has to change fundamentally: fair, regenerative, community-based.
Individuals, farms, associations, collectives, cooperatives and businesses take part, in very different legal forms. What unites us is not a central organisation but the shared practice of a new economy. TEIKEI itself deliberately has no legal form yet; together we are now working out how our cooperation can look in future so that this diversity remains – more under #WeGrowTogether.
Still, the TEIKEI movement can be divided into areas of responsibility.
The following descriptions give an overview of key actors and structures: Who shapes the network? Who keeps processes running? And how do the different roles work together to create a sustainable food supply as a community?
Actors are system-relevant partners within the network, for example operators of logistics systems, olive presses, cleaning facilities or coordination points for producers – they keep the routes between farm and community open and reliable.
The inner circleThe inner circle or “Council of Synergies” consists of people who carry the strategic, organisational and cultural principles and ensure continuity and responsibility. They make sure decisions are taken in line with our values.
The AgoraThe TEIKEI Agora is the digital space where orders, pick-ups and network processes are managed.
Logistics partnersLogistics partners make sure products travel safely, ecologically and efficiently from producers to communities.
Harvest sharersHarvest sharers are individuals or households who receive harvest shares or single orders through a community and help shape the network through their engagement.
EnablersEnablers contribute in many ways – by providing storage space, funding, creative projects or direct support.
PartnersPartners contribute expertise, infrastructure or networks and support TEIKEI in spirit and in structure.
Primary suppliersPrimary suppliers bundle products regionally, take on central supply structures and support the recursive network economy.
ProducersProducers grow products according to TEIKEI standards, mostly organic or regenerative, and create closeness and trust through transparent production.
ProjectsTEIKEI projects such as TEIKEI Olive, TEIKEI Obst, TEIKEI Logistics, TEIKEI Bulk, the Agora and the CSTLAB work on community-supported supply and infrastructure.
ProvidersProviders support TEIKEI with services or materials the network cannot yet provide itself.
AmbassadorsTEIKEI ambassadors spread the TEIKEI idea, build new communities and accompany producers and participants as they join the network.
CommunitiesIn TEIKEI communities, the basic supply of food is organised together – rooted in the region and in solidarity. Any structure can take part: households and harvest sharers as well as shops and member-run stores, farm projects and CSAs, businesses, kitchens and initiatives.
OrganisersOrganisers look after the local TEIKEI communities and keep the structure on site alive – they stay in touch with the harvest sharers, organise pick-up and exchange and are the first point of contact in their region.
Support & coordinationTEIKEI support, coordination and the country stewards secure cooperation across regions and help everyone who uses the TEIKEI Agora.
Business allianceThe business alliance brings together resellers and initiatives that distribute in solidarity and carry the TEIKEI values.
